About Azuga

Azuga is a fleet tracking and safety platform aimed at small and mid-size service fleets, known for publishing its prices, plug-and-play hardware that customers install themselves, driver rewards and gamified safety scoring, and a SafetyCam dash camera option. Contracts typically run 36 months.

About Lytx

Lytx is the global leader in video safety and video telematics. Its DriveCam program pairs AI dash cameras with managed driver coaching workflows and risk detection, and it is the safety layer of choice for many trucking, waste and distribution fleets. Lytx focuses on video-first safety rather than being a general fleet management suite, and integrates with platforms such as Geotab and Fleetio.

Azuga and Lytx pricing

Azuga is one of the few majors with published pricing: plans run roughly $25 to $35 per vehicle per month in 2026, with hardware generally included in the plan price rather than billed separately, which is why the hardware default below is set to zero. Lytx is quote-based and does not publish prices; buyer reports place typical programs in the range of roughly $30 to $60 per vehicle per month depending on camera hardware, AI features and coaching services, with camera hardware around $200 to $400 per vehicle when itemized. The defaults below reflect a mid-range program. The calculator multiplies each side's per-vehicle subscription by your fleet size and contract length, adds upfront hardware, and compares contract totals, which is the only fair way to compare offers with different hardware and term structures.

How they compare

These two overlap on video safety but differ in scope, so compare them only on the video and safety capability both offer, and remember the telematics platform is also covering tracking and compliance in its price. Azuga is a general fleet tracking platform with an optional SafetyCam, while Lytx is a dedicated video safety program with AI cameras and managed coaching at its core. If you want one affordable system with basic camera capability, Azuga fits; if reducing risky driving is the mission and budget allows, Lytx goes much deeper on video and coaching.
